The Cairns, designed by Dave Brodie, reflect both the natural habitat of the Wood and the sites more managed history as part of the Brooke family estate. Each is unique in appearance due to the method of construction and stand over 1.5 metres. Set into each Cairn is a cast stone which bears both the Wood Land Trust’s oak leaf motif and one which resembles a design found on a medieval tile.
They were built on site by Dave Brodie assisted by Cheshire based sculptor Alex Molyneaux
